bespoke pantry in a country house

Pantry Design Georgian House

SOMERSET

With an original flagstone floor and thick lime plastered walls this small pantry design adjacent to the kitchen was just the perfect space for the back pantry.  It also meant that we could keep the adjoining main kitchen relatively appliance free apart from the Aga, and place the Miele Appliances in this room.

The marble top that features in the kitchen continues through, with the cabinetry style and colour also consistent throughout.

Scullery Highlights

Scullery shelves rest on brackets designed by the Guild Anderson design team. The original inspiration for these were the kitchens at Lanhydrock House.

PANTRY FEATURES

Copperware

The pantry formed part of a kitchen for a professional chef. As part of the brief we needed to include provision for our client’s copperware. Copper is an excellent heat conductor and allows for heat distribution to be spread evenly across the pan base, stopping certain areas becoming hotter than others.
